easier for educators to create and deliver stunning digital education content
across devices, cloud, and social platforms.”
Peter McAlpine, Senior
Director, APAC Education Sales, said that digital technology was increasingly
important in the education sector across Asia Pacific nations. “Research conducted
by Adobe in March this year showed that over 81% of educators in APAC believe
it is very important to incorporate creativity tools in the curriculum to help
students prepare for a 21st century workplace,” he said. “This
indicates a fundamental shift in thinking, away from the rote learning style of
former years to embrace the realities of a new digital era and the needs of a
global, collaboration-oriented, knowledge-centric workforce.” Mr McAlpine said
that 55% of APAC educators surveyed by Adobe believe
there would be a significant increase in the role of digital technology such as
e-textbooks, content, and tablets in classroom work over the next five years. Adobe surveyed 500 respondents representing all major APAC
countries including: Australia, New Zealand, Korea, India, China, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, in March 2012.
